Who we are
This website, dateovernight.com, is run by Ambervine Inc, a Delaware company, 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, USA. Ambervine Inc is the data controller for personal data processed through this website.
This notice covers only this information website. When you join Date Overnight, your account, profile, messages and payments are handled in the members area at members.dateovernight.com, under the members-area privacy policy. That policy explains, among other things, that profiles are shared with partner sites in the same network.
What this website collects
This is a static information site. It has no accounts, comment forms or member data of its own.
- No cookies. This website sets no cookies.
- No advertising or tracking scripts. We don't run analytics, advertising, social-media pixels or similar tracking on this website.
- Server logs. The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers record technical data when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. These logs are used for security, to keep the site running and to deal with faults or abuse. Vercel handles this data as described in its privacy policy.
- The join box. If you type your email address into a join box on this website, it is sent to the members area at members.dateovernight.com to start your sign-up, and from then on it's handled under the members-area privacy policy. This website doesn't keep a copy.
Why we use it
We use server-log data to run the website securely and reliably. Where UK or EU data protection law applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the site. Your email address in a join box is passed on because you've asked to join.
We don't sell personal data from this website, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who it is shared with
Server-log data is processed by Vercel, our hosting provider. Join-box emails go to the members area, as described above. We may disclose information where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal request.
Vercel and the members area may process data outside the country you live in, including in the United States. Where UK or EU law applies, transfers should be covered by appropriate safeguards; see each provider's privacy policy for the details.
How long it is kept
Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period for the purposes above, in line with its own retention policy. This website keeps no other personal data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict its use, and, in some places, to opt out of its sale or sharing.
- UK and EU/EEA: the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR give you these rights, and you can complain to a data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK or the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.
- United States: several states, including California, give residents privacy rights. In California, the California Privacy Protection Agency oversees them.
- Canada and Australia: you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Because this website keeps so little, most requests about your data will concern your membership. For those, and for any request about this website, contact us through the members help centre.
Age
This website is for adults aged 18 and over (21 in Alabama, Mississippi, Nebraska and Wyoming). We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes to this notice
If we change how this website handles data, for example by adding analytics, we'll update this notice and the date at the top before the change takes effect. The terms of use cover the rest of the rules for using this website, and the contact page explains how to reach us.
