In short

Joining Date Overnight, making a profile and browsing are free. Reading and replying to messages needs a paid membership, with weekly and monthly plans; the members area shows the price and currency of each plan before you pay. Every plan renews automatically until you cancel in Settings > Billing, so set a reminder for the end of your trip.

The members area shows the exact price of each plan before you pay. Memberships renew automatically until you cancel in Settings > Billing. Check the price and billing details at checkout before you pay.

The members area shows the current price, currency and length of every plan and extra before you pay. We don't repeat the figures in our own words here, so this page can't fall out of date.

What's free

Joining, making a profile and browsing cost nothing. That's enough to see who's around in the city you're visiting before you spend anything, and to read how Date Overnight works at your own pace. Free members see adverts.

What a membership adds

A membership is what turns browsing into a conversation. It lets you read your messages and reply, see who has viewed you, see likes, and view photos in full. Because Date Overnight shares its member database with partner sites in the same network, that includes messaging members who joined through those sites.

Matching the plan to the trip

For a single trip, the shortest plan that covers your dates is usually the sensible choice. A longer plan only makes sense if you're away often.

Your travel What usually fits
One trip of a few nights The shortest plan, cancelled before it renews
A trip of two or three weeks Compare the weekly and monthly plans in the table above
Away most months for work A monthly plan, kept running between trips
Not sure you'll go Stay free and browse until the trip is booked

Join and set up your profile free a few days before you leave, see whether there's anyone around, and only pay once there's someone you'd like to talk to.

Renewal: set a reminder

Every plan renews automatically until you cancel, including any trial or introductory offer. Cancel in the members area under Settings > Billing.

  1. When you pay, note the date the plan ends.
  2. Put a reminder in your phone for the day before.
  3. On that day, open Settings > Billing and cancel, unless you want it to carry on.

Trips get extended and flights get moved; the renewal date doesn't. Cancelling doesn't delete your profile: that's avatar > Settings > Delete Account.

Extras

Optional extras, such as profile boosts and an ID-verified badge, are sold separately and listed with their prices in the members area. None of them is needed to use the site. The ID badge comes from an ID and selfie check by LEM Verify; our safety page explains what it does and doesn't tell you about someone.

Currency and your statement

The prices we have seen are in US dollars. If you're paying with a UK, Canadian or Australian card, check the currency shown at checkout; your bank may add a foreign-transaction fee.

Charges may not appear as "Date Overnight". Make a note of the billing name shown at checkout before you pay, so you recognise the charge later. Date Overnight at a glance lists the billing details, and the contact page explains how to raise a billing question.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by the members-area terms. As of 16 October 2026, the network's members terms allowed a pro-rata refund only where at least 40% of the paid period was unused. Read the current terms before you buy if that matters to you.

Questions people ask

Does a short plan or trial renew automatically?

Yes. Every plan renews into another paid period unless you cancel in Settings > Billing before it ends, and that includes any trial or introductory offer shown at checkout. Cancelling stops the next charge, so do it before the renewal date.

What's the cheapest way to cover one trip?

Join and browse free first, and only pay once there's someone you want to talk to. Then pick the shortest plan that covers your trip and set a reminder to cancel in Settings > Billing a day before it renews, in case your plans change.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are set by the members-area terms. As of 16 October 2026, the network's members terms allowed a pro-rata refund only where at least 40% of the paid period was unused. Read the current terms before you buy if that matters to you.

Why can't I see prices in pounds or Australian dollars?

The prices we have seen are in US dollars. The checkout shows the currency before you pay. If your card is from another country, your bank may convert the charge and add a foreign-transaction fee, so check your card's terms.

Do I need to buy extras?

No. Profile boosts and the ID-verified badge are optional add-ons, listed with their prices in the members area. A membership on its own lets you read and reply to messages, which is what most people on a short trip actually need.
